American Society of Transplantation (AST) - The AST Living Donor Community of Practice (LDCOP) provides educational materials, including toolkits and webinars for potential living donors.
American Transplant Foundation – Offers educational resources, financial assistance, and mentoring for living donors, transplant recipients, and caregivers. Registers potential living donors and assists transplant patients seeking a living donor.
Donate Life America (DLA) - Nonprofit organization that handles the National Donate Life Registry, where anyone can register to be an organ donor. In November 2025, DLA launched the Donate Life Living Donor Pathway, a two-year pilot program that provides those interested in living donation with the necessary tools to pursue this path. People from the ages of 18 to 80 who register as a deceased donor through the National Donate Life Registry can also enroll as a potential living kidney donor. Participants will have access to resources to help with the decision-making process. By giving the public guided access to living donation, this pilot program helps save more lives waiting for a new kidney.
Donor Shield – Program that provides resources for living kidney and liver donors, including lost wage reimbursement, financial assistance for travel and dependent care, and legal services. Backed by the National Kidney Registry.
GiftWorks LLC – Organization that aims to empower living donors and organ recipients through education, support, and advocacy.
Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) - Organ Donation - US government source on organ donation. HRSA is part of the US Department of Health and Human Services. Both SRTR and the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) are federal contracts through HRSA. The OPTN has an information page about living donation.
The Living Donation Storytelling Project – Houses video stories created by living kidney donors, recipients, and others to share living donor kidney transplant experiences and raise awareness about living donation.
Living Donors Online – An online community of living donors, potential donors, their families, and medical professionals that promotes awareness, education, and support regarding living donation.
New England Donor Services – Coordinates organ and tissue donation in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, the eastern counties of Vermont, and Bermuda. Has resources for those considering donation, living donors, and the families of donors.
